My grandfather once told me quite a lot about the tragic events during the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression. He first talked about our family suffering. For example, our shop was bombed down and my whole family had to flee away. Then, he talked about the whole nation’s suffering. For example, over 10 thousand citizens were tragically shot dead by the Japanese army using machine guns in an air-raid on a shelter in Nanjing and countless property was looted. The heinous war crimes that the Japanese army committed in China are beyond any human words could describe. .
Due to whatever reasons, our government didn’t demand war reparations from Japan after the victory of the war. But it’s necessary for the Chinese people to demand compensation from Japan. Mr. Tong, please tell the Japanese government that the Chinese people are not ignorant of law who are too dumb to ask for medical expenses after being badly hit! We Chinese people firmly demand this compensation, for the fire inside our chest, for the true peace of the dead.
