Other details:In around 1942, the Japanese army invaded Yang Junxiu’s hometown Quyang County, Baoding City, Hebei. The Japanese snatched their belongings and raped his mother. After some time, the Japanese came back and raped his mother once again, hanged her on beam and hit her with a whip. They tortued her by filling cold water and other ill-treatments until she fainted.
Accusation of Japanese Army’s Bloody Crime of Abusing My Mother
I am Yang Jingru, a senior engineer with No. 8 Geological Team of the Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources, Liaoning. The article titled Pursuing Justice Against Japan” published on Digest News of February 3, 1993 brought back my painful memories.
In about 1942, Japan invaded and occupied my hometown, Quyang, Hebei. Our family became a primary target of plunder by the Japanese Army because my big sister Yang Jingming (a retired cadre from the former Department of Transport) joined in the Eighth Route Army and my family was then relatively wealthy. After the Japanese Army arrived, my father escaped to the countryside with 5 sons and daughters and my mother remained behind with my younger sister to look after the house. They thought the Japanese soldiers wouldn’t do anything to a woman with a child. But a group of Japanese soldiers, guided by a traitor, robbed our house of valuable properties such as jewelries and then brutally abused my mother. Their crime was unspeakable.
One afternoon, the Japanese soldiers came to our house again. Without saying anything, they took my younger sister from my mother, threw her under the bed and stripped all clothes off my mother… Then, they hung my mother under the beams, whipped her and poured cold water into her mouth until she was unconscious. This blood debt must be paid by Japan.
