Comrade Tong Zeng,
I am so excited after accidentally reading the article “History Is Not Forgotten” by Li Peiyu from the Reader’s Digest of issue 10, 1992. Indeed, Japan committed unforgivable crimes including raping, abducting, burning, killing and robbing against the Chinese people during the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression. Although we lived in Lanzhou in northwestern China, the Japanese army also heavily bombed my hometown, tearing apart many families. Take my family for example. We had a coal plant in Andingmen. The Japanese planes dropped five heavy bombs in our plant in succession, instantly destroying everything we had and tearing my family apart. The people in Lanzhou who were killed or whose property was bombed by Japanese planes are counted by thousands, if not ten thousands. For instance, the peace-loving, patriotic general Deng Baoshan lost his wife and son after his house was bombed by the Japanese planes. As for common people, their houses were more heavily bombed.
These blood debts cannot be repaid by blood, but should be compensated. Despite your young age, you have bravely raised the compensation issue. We are deeply touched. You are a descendant of the Yan Emperor and the Yellow Emperor and we support your righteous act. If you need anything in the future, please immediately inform us and we will happily fight beside you.
