My grandfather led those captured to escape, and was beaten to become heavily wounded; several days later he died, my father was also beaten to become heavily injured during escape. My younger sister’s mother-in-law was gang raped by over 10 Japanese soldiers with bayonet. Our whole family demand the Japanese government to give compensation to our family.

Over 40 years ago, the evil Japanese imperialists invaded China and committed heinous crimes against the Chinese people, causing irreparable losses to millions of Chinese people. My family are also victims and have suffered economic losses of over RMB 100,000. Our government has given up war reparations, but not civil compensation. Now, my whole family demands the Japanese government to compensate for all of our losses. Over 40 years ago, when the Japanese army invaded my hometown, my grandfather Sheng XX was captured by them to build the Hengyang Airport in Hunan, where he was seriously beaten by the Japanese because he led other slave laborers to escape and died days later. My father Sheng XX was also captured by the Japanese soldiers to carry loads and seriously beaten halfway because he tried to escape. He wasn’t fully cured after treatment for nearly 40 years. He has passed away with illness. My younger sister’s mother-in-law Liu XX was raped in turns by over 10 Japanese soldiers armed with bayonets, which seriously affected her health. My whole family demands compensation from the Japanese government for the great losses caused to us by the Japanese army.
