Comrade Tong Zeng:
The Japanese army committed horrible crimes during Japan’s war of aggression against China, killing thousands of innocent people and causing countless families homeless. After I learned from Reader’s Digest of October 1992 that you are pursuing justice for victims and demanding the Japanese government to apologize to and compensate them, I asked my relative (Tian Shixin) in Beijing to send you materials about my father Lin Chenghou’s death in the bombing of Wuhan by the Japanese army on August 11, 1938 and the article (including descriptions of comrades including Zhou Enlai and Guo Moruo participating in my father’s funeral) from the then newspaper about this incident. I guess you’ve received them.
Could you tell me the progress of this matter? As a family member of the victim, what else can I do? Please tell me in the reply letter.
Best regards,
Lin Chuanyi
