Comrade Tong Zeng with the China Research Center on Aging:
How have you been?
I’ve learned recently that you submitted a proposal demanding civilian compensation against Japan to the National People’s Congress in last spring and you are now planning the establishment of a corresponding organization.
My father was taken to Japan in 1945 and was tortured to death there. His cremation, returned to China by China Red Cross, is placed in the Anti-Japanese Martyrs Memorial Park of Tianjin. My father’s victimization brought great material and spiritual trauma and losses to my family. I totally agree with your proposal and am willing to join the organization to be established. Please tell me your mailing address, postal code and progress of the claim for compensation in the reply letter. Thank you.
Best regards,
Liu Xingru
