On July 28, I went to Wang Caifeng’s home and she mentioned she had been caught by the Japanese army to their camp, but did not tell detailed information. She also asked me to find the man who had been caught with her, but I did not find him. Since many victims have passed away, the investigation is very difficult, but I will try my best.

Thank you for writing me back where you mentioned organizing an ‘Association of Victims’. I would like to join it to contribute some efforts to solve this historical incident. I am willing to obey your arrangements.

Zhang Binwei, male, born in 1960, Han Chinese, literacy level of middle school, soldier, now works in Jiang County Cotton Industry Company as office director.
On July 28th, I went to Wang Caifeng’s home in Nanyuan Town, Jiang County and talked with the victim about the past incidents 50 years ago. She only said that she was captured by the Japanese that year because she was a member of ‘Ximenhui’ (Sacrifice Allied Union). She said that she was taken to the Japanese encampment in Jiang County but did not tell me details. She asked me to go to Xisanjian Village to look for a man who was captured at the same time with her. I went there but didn’t find him. I will send you more relevant materials later when I make clear the situation.

Due to the long time lasted, some people concerned have passed away, so the investigation is relatively difficult. I will try my best to interview more victims and request Japan to indemnify their losses.
