Comrade Tong,
Hello!
I am a deputy chief doctor of Taiyuan Locomotive Factory Hospital. I recently read an article titled ‘Seek Justice against Japan’ from Digest Weekly published in Chengdu, which briefly introduced ‘the difference of war reparations and reparations for victims’ written by you, and your help for victims and the support from the National People’s Congress and central leadership. The article reminded me of my family’s encounter. I was originated from Beijin; my original address was #13 Sanyanjing Alley (now Sanjing Alley), Yanshousi Street, Xiheyan, outskirt of Qianmen. My grandfather ran a gold store called Desenhao Gold Store on Guanyinsi Street (west of Dazhatong), Beijing. Around 1943, several Japanese with guns robbed us of huge amounts of gold and silver in broad daylight, it caused my family went broke. My mother, when she was alive, told me that it was done by Japanese spies. In this case, do we fall into the category of victim? Can we claim reparations against Japan? Please let us know. Thank you!
Xiao Yuzan
