我們三人完全贊成你在去年春天向全國人民代表大會遞交的關於要求民間對日索賠的意見書。
本村于民國三十一年（1942年）12月10日被日軍燒毀。全村227戶被燒191戶，毀房688間，有二名婦女被燒死。全村1000多人流離失所，直到50年後的今天，影響所及生活仍然困苦。
我縣在民國30年5月17日，遭日軍飛機17架以縣城為中心輪番轟炸，投彈100多枚（多為燃燒彈）僅縣城毀房6200間。其他長樂，甘林鎮均遭轟炸。
日軍在我縣奸殺罪行累累，慘不言狀，在「嵊縣縣誌」可以譯見，也是我等親眼目睹。今見「報刊文摘」5月19日刊載你的義舉，我等特此來信擁護呐喊！來此敬請

The form I sent you before was drafted by me. After some further thought, I realized that I had not included a column for petitioners’ current addresses. So, I drafted a new form and visited each family. I have just completed the new form and I am sending it to you right away. Sorry for troubling you again!
